As a self-proclaimed self-improvement junkie, I’ve always been fascinated by the sometimes unbelievable potential of the human mind and body. And in my quest for maximizing MY full potential, I’ve experimented with many supplements, meditations, binaural beats, exercises – you name it. Despite the fact that all of those options are great and have distinct benefits, none have worked with the efficiency and effectiveness of Kratom.
Kratom has remained relatively unknown by the majority of the public in the western world, but its popularity will explode as more people find out about this wonderful plant’s benefits as a natural supplement. I’ve personally experimented with many different supplements over the years, both herbal and otherwise, and I can attest to the fact that Kratom is 100%, hands-down the best supplement I’ve ever used. - Kratom enhances my mood
- Kratom boosts my energy
- Kratom heightens my workouts
- Kratom significantly reduces my anxiety and enriches my motivation to get things done
- Kratom improves my sleep
With Kratom, I have more energy and focus during exercise and am more centered while practicing yoga or meditation. The effect of Kratom is almost instantaneous and it is subtle, but POWERFUL. None of the other options I’ve tried work as fast as Kratom does either, and the truth is, despite many claims to the contrary, the drawbacks and side effects from regular use of the powder leaf are fairly mild. In my opinion, the positive effects of Kratom, both short and long-term, vastly outweigh the negatives.
After years of feeling dead tired after work (I was a financial analyst at an investment services company.), I suddenly found I had 16 or more hours of smooth, non-jittery energy every day. I could now come home and focus on my business for a few hours and even get some reading in afterwards. I believe an often overlooked benefit of Kratom is that it provides this extra space of time that allows you to work on things that you previously couldn’t get to.
Sure, Kratom can produce a sense of well-being and perhaps some euphoria for people that are just starting to take it, but nothing nearly as intense as prescription opiates or street drugs. The increase in well-being I experienced after starting to take Kratom allowed me to make changes in my diet, which led to more benefits including the drastic reduction of an anxiety issue I’ve had since childhood.
Some people compare taking Kratom to experiencing the best cup of coffee they ever had and I think that is a reasonable analogy. However, I’ll take it one step further and say that, for me, taking a few grams of Kratom is like drinking a great cup of coffee right after an intense workout. It provides just as much energy as a strong cup of coffee, but also takes the edge off like an hour of exercise would.
There is also no crash after taking Kratom. The effects of each dose will generally last about 6 hours, but the anxiolytic and mood-enhancing effects can subtly linger for upwards of 10 hours. After the effects wear off, one basically returns to their baseline state before they took it.
An interesting fact is that there have been ZERO deaths ever attributed solely to ingestion of Kratom. This technically makes it safer to drink than your average energy drink sold at the gas station or grocery store. Toxicity levels in Kratom are either non-existent or extremely low. (Source from PA study). This means that, similar to coffee consumption, Kratom is completely healthy to consume and will NOT have adverse effects on your health, even with long-term use.
I can vouch for this as I have been taking Kratom on a daily basis now for 2+ years. I am now probably in better shape mentally, physically and emotionally than I have ever been. Don’t get me wrong, it is no magic pill. It, nonetheless, is one hell of a natural supplement. I have taken a few week-long breaks from Kratom over the last couple of years and while it does kind of suck, it was not as dreadful as many make it out to be online. Some say stopping Kratom after long-term use is like quitting coffee. I’d say this is a decent analogy if tolerance is kept at bay.
So that’s all there is to it! I love Kratom. Improved mood and energy? Yes please. Boosted motivation and focus? Don’t mind if I do!
